China-based Ctrip, one of the world’s biggest travel companies, has opened an on-the-ground store in Arrivals, Terminal 3. This one stop shop for destination services includes everything from arranging top Dubai activities and days out, to booking trips with local tour guides and more.
Ordering fast food is now even faster thanks to high-tech self-ordering kiosks at McDonald’s outlets in Terminal 1 (D-Gates) and Terminal 3 (A-Gates and B-Gates). The language options have recently been expanded to include Mandarin, helping Chinese passengers order their favourite meals while skipping queues and saving time.
This October, Chinese nationals can enjoy a 25% discount on Ahlan’s meet & greet services at DXB. The usual rate is AED150 and includes a meet and greet service from a personal concierge at your arrivals gate, assistance with immigration, an escort to the luggage carousel and escort towards the airport exit for your onward journey.
Travelling between China and DXB has become even smoother thanks to the recent launch of three weekly direct flights to Shanghai with China Eastern. With 3.3 million passengers travelling between DXB and China in 2017, there are now around 100 flights a week to 11 Chinese destinations via seven airlines.
This is something for all passengers to enjoy. In celebration of the Chinese Mid-Autumn festival, The Gallery in B-Gates is running a special of Chinese Beef Short Ribs (pictured) for the whole of October. Also in B-Gates you’ll find Wok the Wok, a brand-new food stall in The Daily DXB serving delicious dishes inspired by the street food of Hong Kong.
