Time Out DXB picks five St Patrick's Day treats at Dubai International

Every year, on March 17, the Irish get ready for a good old shindig. If you find yourself travelling through DXB airport on the day – or any time around it, for that matter – then there’s no need to miss out on the craic. DXB has plenty of great grub, bargain deals and brilliant Irish brands…

Sean Gavin and Paul O’Connor performance
As part of DXB’s ongoing programme of concerts, the musicDXB initiative, two talented Irish musicians will be performing for passengers in Terminal 3 to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day. Sean Gavin is a Dubai-based talent who’s inspired by folk, rock, country and pop tunes, and uses a range of instruments throughout his set, including violin and guitar, as well as his unique, soulful voice. Meanwhile, adaptable performer and six-year UAE resident, Paul O’Connor, is known for pop, jazz and rock. Don’t miss this special event.
March 17, 11pm. Concourse B, Terminal 3.

Butlers Chocolate Café
This is one for the sweet-toothed among you. Butlers, the Irish family-owned firm that creates some seriously luxurious chocolates, has its own café in Terminal 1. It all began on Lad Lane, Dublin back in 1932, when Marion Butler started making her own delicious confections by hand. Nowadays, Butlers Chocolates are available in more than 40 countries around the world. And for good reason, too. They have exceptional collections of milk, dark and white specialty chocolate assortments, and produce creamy toffee, soft fudge, liquor-flavoured truffles and much more. Stop by at any time of day or night to sip one of their comforting, delectable hot chocolates, or pick up a box of Irish chocs to take with you on your journey, and celebrate St. Paddy’s Day in a low-key way.
Prices vary. Concourse D, Terminal 1, www.butlerschocolates.com.
