Air India’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner from Kochi was welcomed in splashing fashion

Dubai International welcomed Air India’s first Boeing 787 Dreamliner to arrive from the South Indian city of Kochi in Kerala with a traditional water salute on February 1, 2017.

Launched in 2009, the 787 Dreamliner is Boeing’s most fuel-efficient airliner, and can seat 242 to 335 passengers in typical three-class seating configurations.

Kochi is Air India’s second Dubai route served with a Dreamliner, after Delhi.

On average there are 78 daily flights between DXB and India, or a weekly average of 546 flights.

For passengers, this means it’s never been easier to visit India from Dubai. Find out more
