It’s been a successful week for Dubai Airports with the announcement of four award wins at two different ceremonies.
Dubai Airports was voted as the Aviation & Transport Company of the Year at the Gulf Business Awards 2017, which were announced at a ceremony held in Dubai on Sunday evening.
The prize, received by CEO Paul Griffiths, was awarded to Dubai Airports for its leadership and massive contribution to the growth of the aviation industry, not just in the UAE but across 240 international destinations via two airports, DXB and DWC.
This accolade at the Gulf Business Awards followed a trio of prizes at the Business Continuity Institute Middle East Awards 2017.
Dubai Airports won the award in the Most Effective Recovery category for exceptional crisis response through team work, effective planning and efficient processes.
Meanwhile, Majed Al Joker, Senior Vice President Assurance and Control Authorities, was recognised as the Industry Personality of the Year for his leadership and outstanding contribution to the field of continuity and resilience.
Last but not least, Dr. Marwan Ibrahim, Director Corporate Resilience at Dubai Airports, received a special commendation as a Continuity and Resilience Professional in the public-sector category of the awards.
